On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 2244 hours, units were dispatched to the 29000 block of Point Lookout Road in Mechanicsville following initial reports of a motor vehicle collision into Hills Bar and Grill. Dispatch information indicated a vehicle had struck a utility pole and crashed into the building, bringing down power lines across the cross-access roadway.

Chief 2, Chief 2B, Engine 23, Rescue Squad 2, Squad 1, Ambulance 299, Ambulance 598, and Medic Duty Officer 18A responded.

Chief 2 arrived on scene, established command, and corrected the address to The Babe Cave at 29915 Point Lookout Road. Chief 2 confirmed a single-story commercial building with a vehicle into the front porch and entryway, along with utility pole damage. The driver had safely exited the vehicle prior to arrival. Firefighters secured electrical power to the structure, notified SMECO for the utility pole, and requested the county building inspector.

Rescue Squad 2, assisted by Engine 23 and Squad 1, performed structural stabilization by shoring the front door and porch to prevent further damage. Command held the scene with Company 2 units awaiting a tow truck for vehicle removal.

The single occupant was evaluated on scene by EMS personnel, signed a care refusal, and was turned over to law enforcement.
