On Monday, September 14, 2026, President John Montgomery and members of the department presented Ginger Weasenforth with a check for 60% of the Queen of Hearts drawing winnings, after applicable taxes. Ginger was the most recent winner of the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department Queen of Hearts Game #3. The organization extends thanks to everyone who participated and supported the fundraiser. A big thank you goes out to the members who worked tirelessly to make this fundraiser a success. A special thank you goes out to Darin and Natalie of Drift Inn Crab House for hosting this event.
