On Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 1100 hours, Squad 2 was alerted to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Mount Zion Church Road in Mechanicsville for a serious motor vehicle collision with reported entrapment.

Dispatch reported: "MVC - Trapped | Three Notch Rd @ Mount Zion Church Rd | Mechanicsville | Units: ST2, SQ1, SQ2, A296, ST29 | Vehicle overturned, reported entrapment."
Multiple 911 callers provided urgent information:
Caller 1: "Bad accident—truck flipped."
Caller 2: "Vehicle is flipped, one car on the road, attempting to get people out."
Caller 3: "Subject got out of vehicle and is laying down."

Chief 2 and Squad 2 responded to the scene, with Chief 4A holding command.

Upon arrival, Chief 4A found a two-vehicle, T-bone-style collision, with one occupant trapped inside their vehicle. The crew from Squad 2 extricated the individual in under 15 minutes.

A medevac helicopter was requested for one patient who was transported by U.S. Park Police Eagle 1 to an area trauma center.

A second patient was evaluated, and a care refusal was signed.
