A message to our community.

Over the last few days we have received more phone calls in reference to door to door fundraising occurring in our area. As previously stated. The Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department DOES NOT participate in door to door fundraising.

The Mechanicsville Rescue Squad is a separate entity that was doing a photo drive that is a door to door fundraiser, their personnel shall be providing proper identification. Should you have any questions regarding their fundraiser please contact their station at 301-884-2900.

If proper identification is not provided, do not give money to these individuals and contact the Sheriffs office.
