On August 1st, 2024, at 0352 hours, Company 2 and several EMS Companies were alerted to Thompsons Corner Road in the area of Woodburn Hill Road for an Auto Accident with Injuries. Rescue Squad 2 made the response with 5 volunteers just after dispatch.

At 0358 hours police arrived on the scene and advised there was one occupant trapped in the vehicle. This upgraded the assignment bringing Squad 1002 and an ALS Resource to the incident. Additionally, Chief 2, Chief 2A, and Engine 23 went enroute with 7 additional volunteers.

Rescue Squad 2 and Chief 2 arrived to find one vehicle and one occupant trapped. Rescue Squad 2 went to work stabilizing the vehicle and beginning extrication with Chief 2 assuming Command of the incident.

Engine 23 arrived and assisted with the operations on scene. The patient was extricated within 5 minutes of arrival and Squad 1002 was cancelled.

One patient was transported to a local facility and one patient refused EMS Transport.

Units were in service within 30 minutes.
