On 1/26/21 the Departed signed the contract for a 2023 Pierce Enforcer Pumper. This unit is slated for delivery fall 2023. The unit will feature the following:
-Cummins ISX12
-Hale 1250GPM pump
-750 Gallon Water Tank
-Whelen Emergency Lighting
-HiViz Scene Lighting and Headlights
-4 LDH Intakes

On 2/2/22 Engine Tanker 24 Transferred to Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co while their members paid respects to fallen Baltimore City Fire Department members.

In April the Department mourned the loss of Board of Director Earl Newton.
He was a member of the Mechanicsville Vol. Fire Dept., Mechanicsville Vol. Rescue Squad lifetime member, Hollywood Vol. Rescue Squad, and St. Mary’s County ALS, and Member of the Hall of Fame with the Southern Maryland Vol. Firemen’s Association.

In June, the department and all family members attended the Maryland State Fireman's Association Parade in Ocean City, Md. 63 personnel were in the line of parade and the department was awarded the "Chief A. Marvin Gibbons Award for Department Making the Best Appearance."

In July the Department was awarded a grant for grain bin rescue training and equipment. Several dozen members completed the training. The equipment is compatible with grant equipment awarded to the Leonardtown VFD and Bel Alton VFD.

On October 21st Old Engine 21, a1950 Ford Antique attended the Southern Maryland Firemen's Association Antique Apparatus Muster.
Old Engine 21 was awarded Best in Show at the Muster.

In November the department hosted a "Heavy Vehicle Stabilization Course" that was funded through a grant for our department and all the surrounding companies that we work with regularly. The class was hosted across our departments training grounds. We's also like to thank the New Market Volunteer Fire Department for Transferring Rescue Squad 15 to our quarters for the weekend to cover and calls while our squad and surrounding squads were committed to the drill.

In December we recieved a great Christmas present. The Department was notified that we will be receiving approximately $75,000 from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program to fund two new battery powered hydraulic cutters, rams, and spreaders.
