Rescue Squad 2, Charles Rescue Squad 1002 and surrounding EMS Stations were alerted to the intersection of Three Notch Road and Commerce Park Road for the motor vehicle accident with reports of one trapped.

The rescue arrived to find a rear-end style collision involving a pick-up truck that had rear ended a dump truck. They confirmed one trapped and began setting up for the extrication. Chief 2A established command and requested an additional engine company to the scene, which was placed in service shortly after dispatch. The sole occupant was removed in approximately 10 minutes.

EMS personnel requested a medevac, however due to low level fog, it was unavailable. The patient was transported by ground to Capital Region Medical Center by an Ambulance from EMS Station 29.

Crews operated for 35 minutes on the incident.
