At 1626 hours, on Monday, Engine Companies 2, 1002, 1005, Tankers 2, 1002, 1005, Trucks 1003, 7, and Squad 7 were alerted to Grant Road @ Bay Drive for the reported house on fire.

Engine 23, Tanker 2, Tanker 224, and Squad 2 made the response immediately after dispatch. Units arrived on the scene to find a One-story, Single-family home with fire showing from the Alpha and Delta sides.

Engine 23 deployed the 250’ 1 3/4” attack line, Squad 2 conducted a primary search and began opening up, and Tanker 2 and 224 supplied Engine 23.

Chief 2 established the command and quickly scaled the incident back to Company 2, 1002, and Truck 7.

Company 1002 and Truck 7 assisted with opening up before being cleared.

The fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.
