At 2011 hours, Rescue Squad 2 was alerted to Thompson Corner Road in the area of Millwood Lane for the motor vehicle accident involving a horse and buggy.

Trooper 7, U.S. Park Eagle 1 and Trooper 6 were added to the incident. Trooper 7 went out of service on the scene due to a mechanical issue so Charles Ambulance 14 and Ambulance 299 transported to Childrens Hospital. The other four patients were medevaced to Medstar and Childrens Hospital as well.

Thompson Corner Road was shut down due and the scene was eventually turned over to law enforcement for reconstruction.

Units operated for approximately an hour and a half on the scene. Chief 2 held the Thompson Corner Road command.

Thoughts and prayers for the families involved. Do we have any word on the condition of the horse?
