On Sunday, June 2nd at 2003 hours Rescue Squad 2 and Tanker 2 were alerted to Bucktown Court in Charles Company 5’s area for a reported house fire.

Rescue Squad 2, Tanker 2, and Chief 2A made the response with 6 volunteers shortly after dispatch.

Engine-Tanker 1002 arrived to find a two-story, single-family home with an outside fire on the back deck extending into the home. They requested the working fire upgrade and Engine-Tanker 224 made the response with 5 additional volunteers.

Rescue Squad 2, Calvert Tower 2, and Chief 2A arrived and went to work on Division 2 extinguishing the attic fire. Engine-Tanker 224 arrived and was assigned Rapid Intervention, and all the drivers from Mechanicsville assisted with the Water Supply Operation.

Mechanicsville units operated for approximately two and a half hours before being released by command.

Chief 1002 had Command and Chief 2A was the Division 2 supervisor.
