At 1227 hours, Engine 2 and Charles Engine 1002 were alerted to commercial vehicle fire at 37766 New Market Turner Road, the Charlotte Hall Transfer Station.
Units arrived to find an active fire in one of the mobile trash compactors. A handline was stretched and eventually the contents of the trailer were emptied to contain the fire.
Scene was turned over to the attendant working the station for the day and units picked up and cleared.
