Rescue Squad 2 was alerted mutual aid to Charles County at the Gilbert Run Park for the low angle rescue. Initial information advised of a injured subject on the trail and down in a ravine.

Rescue Squad 2(FF/EMT Raley) was the first arriving Rescue and was advised to stage as Truck 1 was enroute to the patient to assist in the investigation and size-up of units needed.

Once the victim was located, operations advised they had enough manpower and to hold it with Truck 1, Engine 102, and Engine 24 and to start a medevac for a category B, priority 2 patient. With this, Command advised Squad 2 to establish a landing zone out by the entrance to the park.

The crew loaded the patient into the helo and was clear within an hour.
