Demolition Derby Stand-by |

On the past two Saturdays, September 11 and September 18, the Wagon and Jeep attended the Annual Silver Hill Lions Club Demolition Derby at the Potomac Motor Speedway. The units are requested every year to stand-by just in case something serious occurs. The members enjoy watching and assisting at this annual event. The members handled a few small incidents while standing by, which included a few small fires and a possible car trailer reported to be on fire when one of the guys parked their car in the trailer right after the race. The steam from a blown radiator had all the spectators believing it was smoke coming out the trailer. The members acted quickly and handled all the incidents with out any issues. Members are looking forward to next year already. Once again we would like to thank the Silver Hill Lions Club for their generous donation to the department and we look forward to continuing our working relationship in the years to come. |
