Three members recently attended a free hands on training event teaching vehicle stabilization hosted by Res Q Jack in West Virginia.
Members arrived in Kearneysville, West Virginia and were given an hour lecture in the history and use of Res Q Jacks, followed by proper stabilization of vehicles using their struts and jacks. Members proceeded to participate in hands on training where they were instructed and trained on different scenarios.
These scenarios included a vehicle overriding another vehicle, a vehicle overturned in the woods, a vehicle on its side, and a vehicle under a flatbed trailer among others. MVFD members were placed in groups and worked with members from other departments in MD, WV, and VA. A great time was had by the attending members along with gaining valuable knowledge. |
